Exploring and challenging visual perception
Figment is a card game that challenges visual perception. Players must estimate and arrange the cards according to the amount of a given color, then check the printed percentages on the back to see if they were correct.
Each of the 100 cards features a unique illustration based on precise percentages, which are essential to the game’s mechanics. The design balances aesthetics and gameplay, offering a visually engaging and challenging experience.
Every illustration was created without AI, following strict color parameters crucial to gameplay. The palette and composition reinforce the game mechanics, with an approach that is almost infographic in style.
The main challenge was ensuring playability. Each color had to appear on three cards with the same percentage, ranging from 1–34%, ensuring a bzalanced distribution that zmaintains the game’s level of challenge.
