TANTARANTANA

Portraying everyone
from the theater

2024-2025 Campaign for Tantarantana, a local theater in Barcelona’s El Raval District.

With over three decades of dedication, Tantarantana is celebrated for its bold and committed theater, focusing on creation, social outreach, and education.

The campaign’s goal was to invite the public closer, opening doors to the theater’s unique universe. Centered around the tagline “Això és Tantarantana” (“This is Tantarantana”), we aimed to reveal the theater’s true spirit.

To bring this concept to life, we crafted a series of fantastical yet everyday creatures from objects found around the theater—electric cables, cushions, lights, seats, cleaning gloves, speakers, instruments, and light bulbs. Each of these four creatures represents the people behind the magic: actors, lighting technicians, sound engineers, and magicians.

As a result, the campaign emphasizes the company’s honesty and approachability, while still retaining its magical and punk spirit.

Using a cleaning glove to highlight the cleaners is something that not many people consider when they think about theaters.
